Biscuits have long been a staple in Southern homes. They are quick to make and are mouth-watering delicious hot from the oven dripping with butter. My great aunt made buttermilk biscuits every morning for her husband who worked on the railroad to carry for lunch. My mother-in-law makes drop biscuits every Sunday for “Sunday dinner” as we say in the south. (Dinner is lunch, for those of you who might not know.) As a child we always had them with fried apples and sausage. My husband loves biscuits smothered in sausage gravy. Does your family have a biscuit tradition? What about a family favorite biscuit?
